Stress is
omnipresent in people's
lives as it seems built in
to the social structures we
live in. In almost all
physical and emotional
conditions that challenge
our wellness, the impacts of
stress can be seen either as
a causative or contributing
factor.
And it's not all in our
heads! Everyone can
certainly relate to stress
causing muscular tension,
but it extends far beyond
that into our guts, our
lungs, our hearts, and every
system in our bodies – and
we each respond to stress
uniquely with different
patterns because we're
different people. The
virtues of the plants we
might turn to are also
different and can help
support the unique ways our
bodies process the stresses
we face.
Join Erika and jim for an
experiential botanical
adventure as we explore
herbal and aromatic allies
to call upon through tea and
tincture tastings as well as
aromatic meditations.

Erika Galentin
is the Lead Creatrix, Clinical
Herbalist, & Clinical Mentor at Sovereignty
Herbs. She is the host of the Herbal
Practice Connexion (HPX) and the Herbal
Sensorium podcast. Her home base and medicine
gardens are located just outside of Athens, OH but she
serves a national and international community with her renowned
herbs & wellness coaching, online
and in-person classes and workshops, and clinical
mentorship programs. Over 15 years of clinical
practice has provided a platform for witnessing the
efficacy of medicinal plants and aromatics within a
clinical environment. It is through this clinical
practice that Erika seeks to encourage positive, learned
relationships between plants and people and people and
their bodies. She is a firm believer in celebrating the
role that emotions and the psyche play in the ecology of
our physical terrain.
jim mcdonald
is an herbalist in southeast Michigan (that cool state
that looks like a mitten you can see from space) where
he teaches, sees clients, wildharvests, and concocts
herbal formulas. His approach to herbalism is a blend of
traditional European folk influences mixed up with
a bit of 19th century eclectic and physiomedical
vitalism, which he tries to blend with a bit of humor
and discretionary irreverence so as not to appear to be
too serious about life. jim hosts the websites
www.herbcraft.org
&
herbcraft.podia.com which lists his
in person and online offerings and conveys
his thoughts of plants and herbalism (and if you’ve ever
wondered, the lack of capitalization is because the dots
of the lower case j & i are just cool next to each
other).
